Calsitherm GMBH manufactures calcium silicate boards in their plant in Paderborn, Germany. Their line of metal contact boards are sold under the trade name of Calcast. These products are world class and produced to high German standards. Calcast boards are produced in several variations. These are pure calcium silicate, graphite fiber reinforced, and graphite containing.board. Each material has its own unique property.. The graphite fiber reinforced board (CC60) has a high fracture toughness. The graphite containing boards (G4,G8,G16) have a very low surface tension, very low oil absorption and unique thermal properties making them useful in reducing cycle time in permanent mold applications.

Industrial Products International was founded in 1989 in Englewood, Colorado. IPI produces Q-Bloc fused silica materials. All parts are designed and produced to customer requirements. Molds are required for these parts and IPI uses the latest 3D printing in their mold production. IPI is the distributor for Calsitherm GMBH in the US and Canada. IPI machines calcium silicate board produced by Calsitherm for multiple applications in molten metals, power generation and electrical applications. In addition to fused silica and calcium silicate IPI sells Q_Bloc NR paper, a non RCF paper, fire protection boards from IIG, vermiculite boards for the hearth industry and produces an excellent fiber moldable.
